Status quo around Brandon Aiyuk
NFL Media's Mike Garafolo reports that the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk are far from a deal despite positive discussions.
But, the reporter also says there is no immediate trade request. The receiver reportedly plans to report to training camp in a few weeks. If no deal is reached during the offseason, the 26-year-old receiver will play under the final year of his $14 million contract.
So we could be heading towards a Nick Bosa situation where the player got a big contract extension during his final rookie year.
Mahomes favorite for MVP title
According to DraftKings.com's rankings released Tuesday, Patrick Mahomes (QB, Chiefs) is the favorite to win the regular season MVP award. Josh Allen (QB, Bills) and CJ Stroud (QB, Texans) are his main competitors.
