NFL Players of the Week 9: A first for Brock Purdy and DaRon Bland

The beautiful story of Brock Purdy continues. The last choice of the 2022 draft proved once again, against the Buccaneers, that he largely had the level to be a starting quarterback. With a perfect evaluation of 158.3, he is logically rewarded, for the first time in his career, offensive player of the week. Still in the NFC, it is DaRon Bland who is highlighted for the defense. The Cowboys cornerback once again returned an interception for a touchdown. It’s already the fourth for him this year, and the season is far from over.

In the AFC, Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars reacted well, a week after sinking against the 49ers. The former Clemson resident is looking more and more like the quarterback we expected when he came out of college. He is rewarded this week for his demonstration against the Titans. In defense, we find a former Jaguars. Jalen Ramsey was instrumental in Miami’s victory, including the game-winning interception.

For special teams, fullback Reggie Gilliam is rewarded for his virile but correct tackle at the start of the match against the Jets. This caused fumble allowed the Bills to start this meeting on the right track. In NFC, we find a punter. Rookie Ethan Evans is notably highlighted for a 65-yard kick.
