In week 6, despite a late start, the Dolphins’ attack once again stood out. Without rookie De’Von Achane, it was Raheem Mostert (17 races, 115 yards, 2 TDs – 3 rec, 17 yards, 1 TD) who successfully took over at the running back position. He was voted AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Texans linebacker Blake Cashman is the best defensive player of the week. The Saints remained harmless against a Houston team that was still surprising.
Another surprise of the week, the first defeat of the 49ers. Dustin Hopkins gave his team the victory with a final field goal. Thus, the Browns kicker was voted best special teams player in the AFC.
On the NFC side, the Lions (5-1) continued their good streak. Jared Goff (30/44, 353 yards, 2 TDs) remains convincing in this attack. He is thus the offensive player of the week in the NFC. On the defense side, Jordan Hicks is rewarded for the Vikings. He participated in his team’s defensive victory over the Bears. On special teams, Jamison Crowder is the player of the week for longest punt return of the NFC season.
