DJ Moore and Ja’Marr Chase, authors of gargantuan performances in the air, are logically among the players of the week.
This week 5 was crucial for the Bears (0-4) and the Bengals (1-3). Moribund, for different reasons, the two franchises were able to count on their star receivers, DJ Moore for Chicago, Ja’Marr Chase for Cincinnati.
With 3 TDs each, the two led their team to victory. And if Moore has the advantage in yards (230 against 192), Chase managed no less than 15 receptions, becoming the 5th player in history to accumulate at least 15 receptions and 3 touchdowns, putting him in the company of Steve Largent, Jerry Rice, Jimmy Smith and Tyler Lockett.
In defense, Maxx Crosby (DE, Raiders) was once again omnipresent against the Packers. Fred Warner (LB, 49ers) managed to stand out against Dallas in the middle of a monstrous squad in San Francisco, reminding us that he is indeed one of the key elements of this team.
