NFL extends Tottenham lease through 2029-30

There is no reason for this to stop. Since 2019, Tottenham Stadium has hosted NFL matches every year. As a reminder, the enclosure has a lawn specially designed for the NFL below that used for football.

This Thursday, the NFL and Tottenham Hotspur announced that they have extended their partnership until the 2029-2030 season. The new agreement even specifies that the Tottenham Stadium officially obtains the title of “Home of the NFL in the United Kingdom. »

The deal ensures a minimum of two matches per year will be played at Tottenham until the end of the decade.

NFL matches at Tottenham, but not only

Since 2019, six NFL games have already been played at Tottenham. Twelve of the 32 franchises have therefore already tested the speaker. This year, the Jaguars will face the Bills there on October 8. The following week, the Ravens and Titans will meet in North London.

But big league players won’t be the only ones to enjoy the pitch. To assert its status as the Home of the NFL in the United Kingdom, the stadium will continue to host other events linked to American football.

For the latter, an initiation was organized for local young people. Tottenham Stadium also hosted a Combine for British youth, the NFL International Combine, and even the announcement of the 6th round pick of the last Dolphins Draft, with the help of actors from the Ted Lasso series.
