[NCAA] Jayden Daniels MVP, Marvin Harrison Jr. best receiver

NCAA MVP, could Jayden Daniels create a surprise during the Draft by reaching the top 10?

After Joe Burrow in 2019, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels wins the Heisman Trophy. A trophy which rewards the best university player of the season, the equivalent of the MVP of the NCAA season.

Daniels had a historic individual season, with 50 touchdowns (40 passing, 10 rushing). He is the 5th player to achieve this performance, after Tim Tebow (2007), Cam Newton (2010), Joe Burrow (2019) and Bryce Young (2021), all also winners of this trophy.

Jayden Daniels is ahead of Michael Penix Jr. (QB, Washington), Bo Nix (QB, Oregon) and Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Ohio State). The latter still received a reward, since he won the Fred Blietnikoff Award, rewarding the best university receiver. He is ahead of Malik Nabers (WR, LSU) and Rome Odunze (WR, Washington).

List of the main individual trophies this season in the NCAA:

  • Best player (Heisman Trophy): Jayden Daniels (QB, LSU)
  • Best receiver (Biletnikoff Award): Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Ohio State)
  • Best Runner (Doak Walker Award): Ollie Gordon II (RB, Oklahoma State)
