Mike Williams lands with the Jets

A new target for Aaron Rodgers.

According to NFL media, receiver Mike Williams is in New York this Tuesday. He is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Jets with a salary that could be as high as $15 million.

After being cut by the Chargers to free up payroll, Mike Williams will be an important new target for Aaron Rodgers (QB).

Williams had other visits planned with the Panthers and Steelers. But New York apparently managed to convince the player. Note that he is still in the rehabilitation phase following his tear of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee.

This signing will not impact the franchise's 2025 compensatory picks, given that he was released by the Chargers this offseason.
