Mike Vrabel new Patriots coach

According to ESPN, the Patriots have a new coach. A well-known face of the franchise, since it is Mike Vrabel. The rumors released in recent hours therefore confirm that there were indeed negotiations, which therefore resulted in a contract.

The former Titans coach signs for several years with the New England franchise. Previously, Mike Vrabel served as a consultant for the Cleveland Browns.

In NFL history, he is the 7th person to coach a franchise in which they won a Super Bowl. The previous person is not that old, since it is his predecessor Jerod Mayo.

Mike Vrabel, 8 seasons and 3 Super Bowls with the Patriots

So it’s a return to the franchise for Mike Vrabel. The former linebacker spent 8 seasons in New England, with success. He won 3 Super Bowls (2001, 2003 and 2004), and was All Pro in 2007.

Mike Vrabel will bring experience to a group that lacks leaders. Despite everything, this team is destined to grow around Drake Maye, author of an interesting rookie season.

As a coach, Vrabel already has experience as a head coach. At the Titans, he was elected coach of the year in 2021, and reached a conference final in 2019. For the moment, his record is 54 victories for 45 defeats in 6 seasons.
