Micah Parsons (Cowboys): “Me at 60% is better than most people at 100%”

Impressive since his arrival in the league, Micah Parsons has established himself as one of the best defenders in the league. With 13 sacks last season and already 4 in the first two meetings of 2022, he is already terrifying the offensive lines.

Sick before Monday night’s game against the Giants, the Cowboys linebacker finally played, but didn’t have his usual impact, registering only one tackle.

Nevertheless, he would not have missed this meeting for anything in the world, as he confided to The Athletic

“I am here to play. I’m here to be awesome. I might have a stomach virus. Even if I pooped on myself, I would continue to play. I don’t want to be held back. I live for this game. Me at 60% is better than most people at 100%. I just want to play. »

To support his point, Micah Parsons had posted on Twitter a few days earlier a gif of Michael Jordan’s famous “Flu Game”, when he, with the flu, had dominated the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals.

Micah Parsons isn’t MJ yet, but if he can maintain the level of performance he is, he could quickly become an NFL benchmark.
