Matt Eberflus landed Bears coaching job

After the (upset) offensive genius of Matt Nagy, the Bears turn to defense. According to ESPN, Matt Eberflus has been chosen by the executives to be the new head coach in Chicago.

The Colts’ defensive coordinator since 2018, Eberflus led a squad that finished 10th in points conceded this season, and 11th in yards.

In high demand since last year at the time of job interviews, the 51-year-old technician therefore finds his place in a franchise with a long defensive tradition. However, it is in attack that the main challenge of his work will be. Justin Fields, selected in the first round in 2021, is the quarterback of the future, and he must be developed so that he becomes the undisputed leader of the team.
