The first player ratings for the famous football game are out. Trent Williams is inevitable on the offensive line.
One defensive position, one offensive position. The daily recipe is simple for Madden as it continues to reveal its ratings. Now it's the offensive line's turn.
Trent Williams, perfection
And it's another perfect score for a Niners player. After Christian McCaffrey the day before, it's Trent Williams' turn to get the long-awaited 99. This isn't a first for the former Washington player but a return to the top, after a score of 97 last year. Logical when you know that he is considered by many to be the best offensive tackle in the league.
Trent Williams is coming off a successful 2023 season, despite a cruel overtime loss to the Chiefs in his first Super Bowl: 15 games played and no sacks conceded. Brock Purdy's life insurance was logically rewarded with an eleventh Pro Bowl selection and a third first team All Pro consecutive.
Youth rubs shoulders with experience
Behind the inevitable Trent Williams, all positions of the offensive line and all ages are represented. Alongside veterans like guard Zack Martin (95) or tackle Lane Johnson (95), we find the new stars Penei Sewell (96), Tristan Wirfs (94) and Creed Humphrey (92). The latter is also accompanied at the center position by his counterpart from the Lions Frank Ragnow (93).
This spotlight is certainly welcome on a sector of the game that is too often forgotten and allows us to shine a light on these shadow soldiers, the quarterbacks' best friends.
