Detroit Lions (8-1) – Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8): 52-6
There was no mystery or suspense during the game. The Lions literally trampled the Jaguars. Behind a perfect Jared Goff (he finished the match with a rating of 158.3), Detroit's skill players largely won their duels, to the point that the offensive squad scored a touchdown on the first seven possessions and produced more than 600 yards (thus beating the club's historic record), and well into the fourth quarter. The defense completely contained Jacksonville, forcing a series of punts, as well as an interception.
Opposite, the Jaguars' ordeal was long and painful. The defense was torn apart, the offense produced almost nothing, and Mac Jones was transparent. The match was purely one-sided. When we think that Doug Pederson's position is sincerely starting to be in danger, an outing of this caliber, even against a big name in the league, could well be the trigger for an expeditious ejection.
The Lions unfold
