Every NFL Wednesday, the Rookie Diary honors the most prominent rookies. The best offensive beginner, his defensive alter ego, the action, the revelation of the week, the flop… And, to finish, the Power Rooking. Everything, you will know everything about the Rookies!
Offensive Rookie of the Week
Kenneth Walker – RB – Seattle Seahawks
26 carries, 109 yards, 2 touchdowns
The weeks go by and the Seahawks runner continues to terrorize the defenses and give a smile to his attack thanks to his support and especially his power, like his 2nd touchdown which confirms the victory. Walker chained a 5th game with a touchdown for 7 scores in total.
Defensive Rookie of the Week
Kerby Joseph – S – Detroit Lions (87th pick)
10 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 passes defended
Second week in a row that a Lion is defender of the week. A shame for the worst NFL defense. And yet. While there are still gaps in this squad, the youngsters are promising and give hope for better days in Michigan. The young safety gave Aaron Rodgers a very dirty evening. An interception in the end zone which annihilates a successful start to the game from the Green Bay attack, and a second interception on a deep pass which ends up sinking the quadruple MVP. A full game that greatly helped Detroit won its second game of the season.
Special mention: Sauce Gardner Wilson – CB – New York Jets (4th choice)
One name quarterbacks and receivers hell. The New York cornerback was once again ruthless with his counterparts. By intercepting Josh Allen, he put a brake on the formidable attack of the Bills. Gardner is increasingly establishing himself as the defensive rookie trophy favorite.
action of the week
Aidan Hutchinson – DE – Detroit Lions (2nd pick)
Like his secondary school colleague, Aidan Hutchinson punished the Packers quarterback in the end zone. On a 4th and goal, while the Packers are trying an original game with an offensive finemen in the receiver position, the pass rusher reads the game perfectly and cuts the trajectory of the ball. An action that will allow his team to open the scoring a few minutes later.

Revelation of the week
Cade Otton – TE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (106th pick)
With the heavy responsibility of putting on the boots of retired Rob Gronkowski, the former Washington Huskies player is starting to make his mark. With his best game and his first career touchdown, he gave the Buccs’ victory late in the game after the last drive.
Flop of the week
Malik Willlis – QB – Tennessee Titans (86th pick)
The second tenure of the former Liberty quarterback did not really reassure these throwing abilities. Barely more than 30% of passes completed and less than 100 yards, the road is still long before dislodging Ryan Tannehill.
