Defensive Rookie of the Week
Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner (CB, Jets) (4th pick)
5 tackles, 1 interception, 1 pressure
Admittedly, the statistics may not be impressive. But, Sauce Gardner made an impact for his team. He forces Miami to change his quarterback after pressure. Then he intercepts Skylar Thompson to allow his team to recover the ball which will score a touchdown to widen the gap.
In 5 games so far, the former Cincinnati has allowed only half of the receptions in which he has been targeted. Promising for the future.

By intercepting Trevor Lawrence in the end zone, he changed the course of the match. The player from LSU made his first interception of the season and did so when Houston was in trouble.
