Lamar Jackson (Ravens): “I’m sick of this bullshit”

In his seven-year career, Lamar Jackson has yet to reach the Super Bowl. Every year, the hopes are there, but on Sunday, they were once again crushed by a few errors and an excellent opponent.

A loose ball by Mark Andrews on a two-point conversion with less than two minutes remaining cost Baltimore the equalizer. But no question for the quarterback to blame his teammate. During his press briefing, Lamar Jackson especially recalled that his team lost three more balls, including two directly by him.

“Every time we are in this type of situation, lost balls are a factor“, explained the double MVP, clapping his hand. “ We can't do these stupid things, that's why we lost the match. As you can see, we moved the ball very well… We have to keep the damn ball. Sorry for my language. This bullshit is so annoying. I'm sick of this bullshit. […] I'm tired of being stuck here. We have to get there. We must be able to validate this ticket. »

In these conditions, there is no question of passing the blame on Andrews.

It hurts me as much as it hurts Mark. We all played a role in this match. It's a team effort. I’m not going to put that on Mark,” Jackson assured. “We didn't do what we had to do. Protecting the ball is priority number one. We didn't do it. Especially me. I am the leader. I have to protect the ball. So I'm pissed. »

Like their quarterback, John Harbaugh and Kyle Hamilton recalled that the ball released by Andrews was only one action and that it was the overall performance that had to be analyzed.

Lamar Jackson as Peyton Manning

This game was the first of the season in which Jackson lost several balls. The Ravens did not score in the game, but they failed.

Enough to fuel doubts about his performances in January.

The good news for him? Other greats have been there. In eight playoff games, Jackson has a record of 3 wins and 5 losses. Peyton Manning was 3 wins and 6 losses after nine exits in the final stages. This did not prevent him from going on to 11 victories and two rings in the following 18 matches.
