Dak Prescott injured? It doesn't matter, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys front office still give him a new target.
After Diontae Johnson left for the Ravens, it is now receiver Jonathan Mingo who is packing his bags. The former 2nd round of Draft is leaving for Dallas in exchange for a 4th round of draft, according to ESPN. In addition to Mingo, Dallas recovers a 7th round of Draft from the Panthers according to the same source.
This exchange could mean the end of the struggle for Jonathan Mingo with the Panthers. The receiver has seen his number in terms of balls targeted decrease as the season progresses. Over the last 3 games, he has not caught a single ball and has only been targeted 4 times.
Jonathan Mingo to relaunch at the Cowboys?
Affected last weekend, CeeDee Lamb should return to action next weekend. In the meantime, no one is really taking over as the Cowboys' No. 2 receiver. Brandin Cooks is still injured, and Jalen Tolbert seems to be back in line despite another touchdown last weekend.
Helmed by rookies Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker, even by tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, the receiver will try to relaunch his career in Texas. Last season, in the Panthers' slump, he only made 43 receptions for 418 yards. Finally, he still hasn't scored a single touchdown since he arrived in the NFL.
