Jimmy Garoppolo, new luxury liner for the Rams

Return to California for Jimmy G. After a short season with the Raiders in Nevada, the former 49ers quarterback returned to the NFC West by signing with the Los Angeles Rams for one season, according to Mike Garafolo (NFL Media).

A one-year contract for the double champion who therefore continues his career by officially entering the season as Matthew Stafford's understudy.

Relegated to the bench, then cut by the Raiders after a catastrophic season (7 games, 1205 yards, 7 touchdowns, 9 interceptions), Jimmy Garoppolo is also suspended for the start of the 2024 season for doping.

By signing Jimmy Garoppolo, Sean McVay nevertheless offers himself an experienced replacement who has played in the system of Kyle Shanahan (49ers), close to his own.
