Jets: Zach Wilson will not play week 17

Trevor Siemian will remain at the helm of the Gang Green offense.

New York will once again play with Trevor Siemian as the starter. Zach Wilson has still not left the post-concussion protocol after a blow to the head, and will therefore not be available to face the Browns.

Even though he led the Gang Green to a victory against the Commanders this weekend, Siemian was not the most convincing. He returned a record of 217 yards thrown, for 1 touchdown, 1 interception and 1 lost fumble.

According to the New York Daily News, Robert Saleh indicated that the team does not yet have a projection for the final game of the season. The head coach clarified that he does not yet know if Wilson will be able to line up against the Patriots in week 18.

The former second overall pick in the draft has passed for 2,271 yards this year, for 8 touchdowns against 7 interceptions.
