The joy of the Jets did not last long. Or at least, may not last long. After losing Breece Hall to a cruciate ligament rupture, it’s offensive tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker’s turn to be injured until the end of the season. According to Adam Shefter (ESPN), it’s due to a serious triceps injury.
After playing his rookie season as a guard, Vera-Tucker had been repositioned as right tackle this season, and quite successfully. Since the start of the season, the Jets’ convincing running games have frequently come from his side.
As it stands, veteran Mike Remmers (33) is expected to take Vera-Tucker’s place.
