Jets: Chuck Clark out for 2023 season

Hard blow for the Jets who lose their titular safety.

The latest medical examinations have confirmed the fears of the medical staff in New York. Injured during training last week, Clark suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments. The news relayed by Adam Schefter of ESPN has been confirmed by the franchise.

Arrived at the Jets last March, via an exchange with the Ravens, the 28-year-old defender will not have the opportunity to wear his new colors in an official match before the end of the 2023 season.

Clark had his best season last year with Baltimore. He played all of his team’s snaps for 101 tackles, 4 passes defended, one forced fumble and one covered fumble. His absence is a real loss to the Jets’ air defense.

The New York franchise anticipated this injury last week by signing former Packers Adrian Amos for a one-year term.
