Jets: Aaron Rodgers hopes to return to the playoffs

Is Aaron Rodgers’ 2023 season really over? Maybe not. In any case, the Jets quarterback is not ready to give up just yet.

According to NFL Media, the doctor assigned to repair Rodgers’ torn Achilles tendon used a procedure called “speed bridge,” which involves placing a splint in the joint. This solution would make it possible to envisage a faster return than expected.

Hope? Reduce convalescence to four months. In this ideal scenario, Rodgers would be back in early January, at the start of the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers challenges everyone

On Friday, Rodgers made his return to Pat McAfee’s show, his now regular channel of communication. Always in a “me against the world” posture. »

“Just because no one has ever done it a certain way doesn’t mean it’s possible,” he said. “Give me your doubts, your predictions, and see what I’m going to do. »

This would indeed be unheard of. But there is another condition: that the Jets reach the playoffs with Zach Wilson at the helm.
