Jerome Baker commits to Seahawks for one year

Finally reinforcement on the second curtain of the Seahawks. According to ESPNthe franchise reached an agreement with Jerome Baker for a one-year contract worth 7 million.

Released by the Dolphins before the opening of free agency, Baker recently visited the Titans before his visit to Seattle. Ultimately the linebacker will not leave Washington state. He replaces Jordyn Brooks, who left for… Miami. It is therefore almost a position for position exchange between the two teams.

A versatile player from behind the curtain, Baker shone for 6 seasons in Miami. In coverage, blitzing or against the run, he responds with remarkable reliability. Only 5 matches missed in 6 years. In 2023, despite an injury, he still recorded 78 tackles including 1.5 sacks and 2 interceptions including one returned for a touchdown.
