Guess who signed a former Patriot to their team? Josh McDaniels, of course. After Jimmy Garoppolo on the first day, it’s a target to help the quarterback who arrives.
According to NFL Media, Jakobi Meyers has decided to sign for 3 years and 33 million dollars with the Raiders. 21 million are guaranteed.
Undrafted in 2019, Meyers has made a name for himself with the Patriots over the past four years. The first three were with McDaniels in an offensive coordinator role. The current Las Vegas coach will therefore know perfectly well what he is capable of and how to showcase it.
Last season Meyers caught 67 passes for 804 yards and 6 touchdowns. With Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller, and now Meyers, Jimmy Garoppolo’s proposed target group is starting to look pretty good.
Meyers arrives in conquered territory. He already helped Vegas to a last-second win last season.
