Trevor Lawrence and his teammates were merciless in beating the Titans. Harmless, Tennessee couldn’t hope for more
Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) – Tennessee Titans (3-7)
There was no game this Sunday between the Titans and the Jaguars. The latter dominated the match from start to finish.
Difficult to stop in attack in the second half and intractable in defense, the Floridians are reassured after last week’s disappointment. Trevor Lawrence will have been valuable in particular with his ability to carry the ball.
For Will Levis it’s a new defeat. Faced with a defense that silenced Derick Henry, the rookie quarterback was unable to carry his team. By not moving forward in attack, the defense ended up giving up.
Foam Titans
Jacksonville took control of the first half by dominating on both ends of the field. Without being brilliant in attack, the Jaguars managed to score 13 points at halftime.
First Trevor Lawrence finds Calvin Ridley for the touchdown (7-0), then the Floridians add two field goals (13-0). A disappointing result nonetheless because Jacksonville was within the opposing 15 yards (or better) during both kicks.
On the defense side, the Jaguars put Will Levis and his attack through a complicated first part of the match. Tennessee only gained 82 yards in 24 actions at halftime! It’s obviously too slow to get by.
Symbol of this offensive inefficiency, this series where the Titans only gained 34 yards in 13 actions and 8 minutes of possession!
Trevor Lawrence has legs
In the second half, Jacksonville finally broke down the Titans defense. In their first three offensive series, the Jaguars scored three times.
Twice, Lawrence advances his team enough to finish the work on the ground thanks to his legs. The quarterback also uses his arm to once again find Ridley for the touchdown.
The locals then quickly reached 34 points on the clock (34-7).
Meanwhile, Tennessee ended up scoring a touchdown on a reception from DeAndre Hopkins after a “surprise” play at the time of the snap.
It is this “unexpected” side that allows the Titans to score a second touchdown (34-14) when Levis finds defender Jeffery Simmons in the endzone.
This last touchdown does not change the result and Jacksonville can calmly bring the clock down to 0 seconds to win.
