Henry Ruggs sentenced to 3 or even 10 years in prison

The verdict is in for the former Raider.

Accused of drunken driving causing death and manslaughter, Henry Ruggs (WR, ex-Raiders) pleaded guilty in May and was awaiting sentencing.

One morning in November 2021, Ruggs was driving over 250 km/h with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit when he crashed into Tina Tintor’s car, killing her and her dog.

The court sentenced the recipient to a sentence of between three and ten years in prison for these facts.

“I sincerely want to apologize to Ms Tintor’s family and friends for the pain and pain I have caused them,” Ruggs said during the hearing.

Although the Tintor family has called for tougher drunk driving laws in Nevada, Ruggs could be released on parole in three years.

Ruggs was drafted twelfth in 2020 and played 20 games for the Raiders.
