Head to the Commanders for Marshon Lattimore (Saints)

Marshon Lattimore leaves.

The change of coach on the Saints side marks the reconstruction, and the franchise understood this well by parting ways with one of their experienced players.

The cornerback is sent to the Washington Commanders for 3 Draft choices (3rd, 4th and 6th round). In addition to the cornerback, the Commanders also receive a 5th rounder, according to NFL Media.

With this addition, the Washington franchise shows that they are serious candidates to seek the lead in the NFC East division. It should not be too much in an efficient aerial defense this season (5th defense in yards per game conceded in the air).

Marshon Lattimore still injured

Arriving at the Saints since the 2017 season, Marshon Lattimore always played for this jersey before this exchange. In 8 seasons, he played 97 games for 405 tackles, 15 interceptions and 88 passes defended. The defensive rookie of the 2017 season was never All Pro, but was a 4-time Pro Bowler.

For now, the cornerback is out with a hamstring injury, but is not on the injured list. His return to the field could therefore be imminent to help the Commanders. A franchise that can continue to surprise us around their quarterback Jayden Daniels.
