Garrett Wilson (Jets): “We don’t do very varied things on offense”

While waiting to know if Davante Adams will come to help him, Garrett Wilson (WR, Jets) doesn't quite look happy with what the Jets offense is offering.

I think we don't do very varied things“, he told ESPN New York on Tuesday.

The offense seems pretty straightforward on offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

“When I watch games on Sunday, I see a lot of teams doing different things and varying things. I don't feel like we were doing that. I believe we know our identity. Now we have to go out into the field and do things efficiently or see if it works. I don't feel like we're trying a lot of different things. »

I know that personally, the tree of my routes is not what it was for the last two years. We have to find our identity and see if that will help us win matches. »

Garrett Wilson less efficient with Aaron Rodgers

Garrett Wilson caught 178 passes in two seasons. Balls thrown by Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, Mike White, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyle and Chris Streveler (yes, that player exists).

Logic would have dictated that he would produce even more with a quadruple MVP like Aaron Rodgers. Except that for the moment, he has only caught 20 passes for 191 yards in four games.

Wilson averaged over 63 yards per game in his first two seasons. This year, it’s 47.8 yards. The good news is that he still catches about 5 balls per game.

He must be patient, we must be patient. We can't force things“, assured Aaron Rodgers last week.

Rodgers, for his part, should not be caught criticizing Nathaniel Hackett, whom the whole world suspects of being there at his request. So Wilson will indeed have to be patient. Unless Davante Adams comes to definitely steal the show? Rodgers would like that too.
