Gabriel Davis will help Trevor Lawrence with the Jaguars

The Jaguars are trying to surround Trevor Lawrence to finally take off. New attempt: Gabriel Davis.

According to NFL Media, the receiver reached an agreement for a 3-year contract with Jacksonville. A contract worth 39 million dollars, which could even climb up to 50 million with all the bonuses.

Davis will reunite with Christian Kirk and Zay Jones to form a rather interesting trio of targets around Lawrence. Especially with Travis Etienne who can also catch balls in addition to running.

Gabriel Davis in Jacksonville, the end of the Calvin Ridley experience?

Gabriel Davis is still only 24 years old. He arrives after four seasons with the Bills. A start to his career marked by great irregularity. Capable of huge matches, Davis can also completely disappear, as was the case at the end of last season.

In four years, he has never passed 900 yards in a season. Last year, he finished with 45 receptions for 746 yards and 7 touchdowns. Its asset? Explosiveness, averaging 16.7 yards per reception in his career.

This arrival could mean the end of the adventure for Calvin Ridley, who is free from any contract. Ridley is older, being 29 years old. Last year, he recorded 1,016 yards for the Jaguars. He was even the most productive receiver on the team.

But Christian Kirk could regain this status by playing every game in 2024. And Jacksonville will hope that Davis is number two.
