After 16 seasons and 19,985 career yards, Frank Gore is about to retire. It was the player himself who announced it to the channel “The SFNiners”. This retirement will be done symbolically by signing a one-day contract with the 49ers, the team he scored.
Once an All Pro (2nd team 2006), five-time Pro Bowler and member of the 2010 team of the decade, he never dominated the league but made history with his longevity. With exactly 16,000 career yards on the ground, he is the third most prolific rusher in history. Never titled, he remains a Niners legend and a defining figure in the NFL.
