Frank Clark joins the Broncos

The former Chiefs defender remains with the AFC West.

After signing Zach Allen early in the offseason, the Broncos continue to strengthen their defensive line. Free agent after being cut by the Chiefs, Frank Clark (DE) will play in Denver next season.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 29-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the Broncos for $7.5 million with $5.5 million guaranteed.

The former second choice of the 2015 draft comes out of a decent season with the Chiefs where he accumulated 39 tackles including 7.5 for loss, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 covered fumble in 15 games. He had not been able to play all the games due to a suspension for possession of assault weapons.

In a franchise that must play the playoffs this season, the two-time Super Bowl winner will bring his leadership and an additional threat in the pass rush.
