“I hope I can play two, three or four more years. But you have to have a little luck to do it. »

Nothing impossible in theory. Tom Brady continued until he was 45 with the Buccaneers, before immediately starting to talk like a 75 year old man.

At the rate Rodgers's mind changes, he could even play until he's 50.

In August 2021, he said he did not know if he would continue after the season.

As of December 2021, he has not ruled out retirement.

In January 2022, he still had doubts about his future.

In September 2022, he ruled out the idea of following Tom Brady's example and playing until age 45.

A year later, in September 2023, he arrived at the Jets announcing that he would be there for several years… and that he could play until age 45.

“If you had asked me five or six years ago, I probably would have said no. But with all these changes and the changes I've made off the field, I definitely see it as a possibility. »

A few days later, after his serious injury, he again said he wanted to continue.

Aaron Rodgers must recover first

Before thinking about playing a long time and winning titles with the Jets, Aaron Rodgers will first have to play again.

“I returned to training at the end of last season and I couldn't reach my maximum sprint speed. But I was good in terms of rehabilitation, and I feel really good,” Rodgers assured Eddie Bravo.

The real answers will come from September, when Rodgers will finally be able to express himself on the field again.
