Falcons: well, well… we bring back Taylor Heinicke

Same player still playing. On November 1, Taylor Heinicke took Desmond Ridder's place as the Falcons' starting quarterback. He started two matches before being overtaken again by Ridder.

This Sunday, Taylor Heinicke will have another chance. According to The Athletic, he has once again been promoted to starting pitcher.

Atlanta is coming off a humiliating defeat against the Panthers. Ridder returned a 12/20 copy for 152 yards, 1 touchdown and an interception.

A match and dust-ups for Taylor Heinicke

Taylor Heinicke has appeared in three games this season, but only played the entire game once. In late October, he came on in place of Ridder in a loss to the Titans. He then started against the Vikings (21/38, 268 yards, 1 TD, 1 int), again for a defeat.

The following week, a hamstring injury sidelined him during a game against the Cardinals, and Ridder regained his position in the process. It was November 12. Heinicke has not played again since.

The Falcons are still in the race for the title of a very weak NFC South, and they obviously no longer really know what to do at the quarterback position.
