Browns give Deshaun Watson a new target
After the signing of Mecole Hardman, it was obvious to see a Jets receiver involved in a trade.
While we are still waiting for a transaction between the Jets and the Packers centered around Aaron Rodgers, the New York team has reached an agreement with the Browns to trade receiver Elijah Moore.
The Jets’ former second-rounder comes with a 3rd-rounder (pick 74) against a second-rounder (pick 42), according to NFL Media.
He made 80 receptions, 984 yards and 7 touchdowns, including 1 on the run in two seasons with the Jets. But last season he only scored one touchdown. Admittedly, he was not helped by the quarterback problems within the franchise, but, unfortunately, Elijah Moore did very little to convince in 27 games.
With Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and pending the hatching of David Bell, the Browns are giving themselves the means to improve an unconvincing air attack in 2022.
