Eagles: Lane Johnson extends for a year … and 33 million dollars!

We treat the executives of the team on the Philadelphia side. ESPN announces that Lane Johnson, who was already under contract for the next three years, has just been entitled to an additional year of contract.

Amount of the extension: 33.445 million dollars, of which 30 million guaranteed.

If the sum seems enormous, the operation is nevertheless well motivated by the finances of the franchise. Because this extension makes it possible to lower Johnson’s impact on the payroll for 2023. From 24 million, it will ultimately only weigh 14.8 million, i.e. an immediate gain of almost 10 million for the leaders.

The 32-year-old deserves to be pampered by his bosses no matter what. The right tackle hasn’t allowed a single sack over the past two seasons. He was just selected to his fourth Pro Bowl and was a 2022 All-Pro First Team.

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia runners are smiling.
