Eagles: Jason Kelce formalizes his retirement

The legendary Philadelphia center announces the end of his career.

This was an announcement anticipated for weeks. Finally, the legendary Eagles center has made his decision and will hang up his cleats. Relayed by ABC News, Jason Kelce announced that he is ending his career and retiring.

This is a big sporting loss for Philadelphia. Kelce was a major player on the offensive line, a leader on the team, and an emblematic figure of the franchise.

A former sixth-round pick in the 2011 draft, Kelce started 193 games for the Eagles, earning seven Pro Bowl nominations and five first-team All-Pro selections. This year, Pro Football Focus ranked him as the fourth best center in the league again.

At 36 he therefore bows out, most likely waiting to don a golden jacket in Canton.
