Estimated Draft Position: Third Round
2022 stats: 67 receptions, 1,267 yards, 15 touchdowns

The 2022 Biletnikoff Trophy winner exploded in front of the world last season in the NCAA. After two nondescript years, he had an exceptional Junior season with Tennessee.
Strong points :
– Speed
– Hands
– Yards after reception
Hyatt is a player with exceptional speed. He was the author of a time of 10.46 seconds over 100 meters and a time of 21.14 seconds over 200 meters. A significant advantage to take over opposing cornerbacks. Thus, he is very dangerous as soon as he has space and the ball in hand. He was able to prove it during his last season in college with more than 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns. The highlight was the match against Alabama with an XXL performance: 6 receptions for 207 yards and 5 touchdowns.
With a rate of drop 6.9% in 2022, the Volunteers receiver has reliable hands for the NFL. Coupled with his qualities of speed and very long arms, he can very quickly become a weapon for any team in the league.
Despite a rather ordinary physique, he is a good blocker for the run, always an interesting asset for an NFL franchise.
Finally, he is a very hard worker, he has the will to constantly improve.
Weak points
– Plot tree
– One-dimensional
– One-year wonder
Despite receiving the Biletnikoff Award in 2022, Jalin Hyatt isn’t seen as a potential first-round receiver for several reasons.
First of all, his last extraordinary university year is an anomaly compared to his curriculum. Because of the injuries and the holders in front of him in 2020 and 2021, he had never exceeded 300 yards on reception.
Also, his work in Tennessee was not very diverse. On all of snaps he played in his Junior year, 85% of those snaps were played as a catcher in the slot. What’s more, his route tree was very small in the NCAA. He ran almost exclusively vertical routes. The latter are very well run, on the other hand the intermediate and short routes are uneven, even mediocre. Finally, he faced very few defenses in press on him as he was in the slot. He cannot be confined to this single role in the NFL to continue there.
Possible destinations
New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Los Angeles Rams
Jalin Hyatt has an intriguing profile. A team looking for speed and explosiveness for its receiving squad can be tempted. He will still have to erase several faults or concerns about him. If he shows a tree of routes more substantial and better run, he will be able to claim a place as number three receiver for the start of his young career.
