In a strong vintage as an offensive tackle, Blake Freeland is a candidate at the end of the first round. Not the most powerful, he is however one of the most mobile players in this position.

If your franchise needs a mobile tackle that can block on the move and lets his athletic skills do the talking, Freeland is your man. Explosive, it is able to move quickly to open up breaches for its runner. These physical dimensions are satisfactory and allow him to block his vis-à-vis with his hands in the first or second curtain.
An experienced and talented player, Freeland has been a locker room leader for several years. Having such a temperament is not insignificant, and its value in the NFL will be positively impacted. If he is not yet at the maximum of his technical and physical capacities, his margin of progress remains important.

If Freeland is an athlete, he’s not a power freak. This lack of muscles is felt in several aspects of his game which makes him not very versatile. Difficult to imagine it in a “power” scheme: it risks only flourishing in blocks of the San Francisco 49ers type zone. He cannot move his opponent, he can only contain him.
This lack of power also leads to a severe lack of balance. Too inconstant, he always undergoes actions in a match where his feet do not follow his body which makes him fragile and easy to circumvent. The solution: gain muscle mass. Because of this, it’s likely to take at least two years for him to reach his true NFL potential.

Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans
Freeland will not be for everyone. The Titans could knock him out of the roster as long as he doesn’t fit into the franchise’s usual pattern. The Texans, meanwhile, may want to sign Freeland if Laremy Tunsil leaves. Finally, the Jets could also need reinforcements in this position and target it at the start of the second round.
