To prepare well for the next draft before the Combine, Victor Roullier gives you his second list of the top 50. As every year DNA of Sports will accompany you in the months to come, with articles, draft sheets, podcasts and lives.
. Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
. Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
. Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Mich.
. Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
. Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
No big surprise here, with two players fighting for the best EDGE spot, the race will be crazy until the end. The other three players are dominant at their positions, but those positions have less draft value.
. Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
. Ahmad Gardner, BC, Cincinnati
. Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M
. Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
. George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
No Evan Neal, who is currently exploiting his potential less than the other two and is not progressing as much as expected. Ahmad Gardner isn’t the flashiest of cornerbacks, but he’s complete and looks ready for the NFL.
. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
. Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
. Trent McDuffie, BC, Washington
. Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
. Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
Jermaine Johnson is the big winner of the combine, and can dream of top 10. Trent McDuffie is the surprise given his lack of physical size, but he compensates in the game with a crazy cleanliness and explosiveness.
. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
. Derek Stingley Jr., BC, LSU
. Roger McCreary, BC, Auburn
. DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
. Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
Chris Olave = Keenan Allen, it’s as simple as that. DeMarvin Leal is the loser of this second version, in particular because his 2021 videos are frustrating: he can do more, but he sometimes lacks the will. Trevor Penning was dominant in the combine, if too aggressive, and sees his value rising.
. Travon Walker, DL, Georgia
. Jaquan Brisker, S, Penn State
. Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
. Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
. Zion Johnson, IOL, Boston College
. Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh
. Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
. Travis Jones, IDL, UConn
. Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor
. David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan
Zion Johnson, Jalen Pitre and Travis Jones are big winners in the Senior Bowl. The versatility of the first two and a strength, while the third was able to prove that he is good even in the face of great adversity. Travon Walker is trending more and more, but his limited pass rush abilities keep him from reaching the top 20.
. Drake London, WR, USC
. Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
. Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
. Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
. Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State
. David Bell, WR, Purdue
. Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia
. Darian Kinnard, OL, Kentucky
. Jordan Davis, IDL, Georgia
. Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan
It’s the catchers’ festival, and there’s something for everyone. The surprise is Skyy Moore, who despite having below-average physical dimensions can become the NFL’s new rocket. Jordan Davis is lower than the consensus, mainly for his lack of stamina and consistency in the pass rush (and he can still go down).
. Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan
. Daxton Hill, S, Michigan
. Carson Strong, QB, Nevada
. Daniel Faalele, OT, Minnesota
. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State
. Sean Rhyan, OL, UCLA
. Kaiir Elam, BC, Florida
. Phidarian Mathis, IDL, Alabama
. Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina
. Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A&M
Two new quarterbacks, but no Malik Willis whose ceiling is as high as his floor is low. Kenneth Walker is an incredible runner, but he’s weak in blocking and landing, which limits him.
