Miami will do without its starting quarterback against the Jets.
Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel announced it at a press conference today. His quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will not play against the New York Jets in Week 5 NFL next Sunday.
The coach clarified that he is still in concussion protocol.
As a reminder, after suffering a concussion against the Buffalo Bills 2 weeks ago, Tua Tagovailoa replayed Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals and suffered the same injury in addition to a neck injury which led to his hospital following a sack.
This led to an update to the concussion protocol from the NFL in agreement with the NFL Players Association.
So Teddy Bridgewater will replace him as starter on Sunday.
