Dolphins: several weeks without De’Von Achane

A halt to one of the phenomena at the start of the season. De’Von Achane is injured in the knee, and he will be out for several weeks. This is what NFL Media reports.

The injury occurred during the Dolphins’ Week 5 win over the Giants.

During his press briefing on Monday, coach Mike McDaniel did not want to specify at what point in the match Achane was injured. Because looking at his stats sheet, it’s hard to say that he suffered from any problem. With 151 yards and a touchdown in 11 balls carried, the rookie runner dynamited the New York defense.

De’Von Achane, Miami’s most productive runner

If he started the season slowly behind Raheem Mostert, De’Von Achane has exploded in recent weeks. On September 24, he gained 203 rushing yards and scored 4 touchdowns against the Broncos. He followed that up with two more touchdowns against the Bills the following week, before finding the end zone once again against the Giants.

In just four games, he gained 460 rushing yards, the Dolphins’ best total. He also caught 9 passes for 67 yards. In total, he scored 7 touchdowns.
