Complicated debut for veteran Odell Beckham Jr. at the Dolphins. The 31-year-old receiver has just been placed on Miami's injured list. This means he will be unavailable for at least the first 4 matches of the season. A logical decision since the star receiver is absent from training camps due to an undisclosed injury. His quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has not been able to exchange a single pass with him.
According to NFL Network, the Dolphins' plan is to allow Beckham Jr. to recover as best he can to ensure he is available for the remainder of the season, suggesting that the injury is not too serious.
Looking for a rebound in Miami
After a mixed stint with the Ravens and multiple injuries, the receiver thinks he still has the resources to perform at the highest level. The Dolphins gave him a chance last May with a one-year contract for $8.25 million. An offer below that of other teams. But Beckham wanted to come to Miami to play for the title.
At 31, the author of “the catch” is starting to multiply teams. After a sensational debut in 2014 with the Giants, Beckham also played for the Browns, the Rams, the Ravens, and finally the Dolphins. In 2023, Beckham played 14 games with Baltimore. He caught 35 balls for a total of 565 yards (16.1 yards per reception) and three touchdowns.
