Devin White's career is taking a bad turn.
According to ESPN, the linebacker has just been let go by the Eagles even though he was signed last offseason for one year. A failure for the player who wanted to get back on track after a not very glorious end for the Buccaneers.
But the most worrying thing is that he has not played a single minute of play with the Eagles, helmed by Nakobe Dean and an astonishing Zack Baun since his arrival. Inactive for 3 games, the separation was inevitable. The linebacker preferred to be released from his contract rather than be traded. Thus, Devin White is free to choose his next destination.
Devin White, All Pro and 2020 Super Bowl winner
Unfortunately, NFL clubs are likely to be reluctant to sign a player lacking pace. He will probably have to go through the box practice squad of a team before finding a squad. Unless a team candidate for the playoffs gives him a chance in order to complete the squad in depth.
However, Devin White started his career well with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Former 5th pick in the 2019 Draft, he is an All Pro in his 2nd season in the NFL. The Super Bowl won against the Chiefs, led by a certain Tom Brady, is the peak of his short career so far. In his 6-year career, the 26-year-old has played 76 games, making 566 tackles, 23 sacks and 3 interceptions.
