The love story between Derek Carr and the Raiders ends!
We expected it, it’s now certain, Derek Carr should no longer be a Raiders player next year!
Sidelined by Josh McDaniels in week 16, the Las Vegas quarterback spoke on social media on Thursday. The message is clear: Derek Carr is saying goodbye to his frankness.
“Once I said I’d rather stay home than not be a Raider anymore. But I had not imagined this ending. This will in me to win a title is always present. That’s why I’m looking for a new city and a new team, which no matter what, will get everything from me.’ wrote Derek Carr in a post shared on Twitter.
It is therefore the end of a common history of 9 seasons, which will have seen Derek Carr throw for 35,222 yards and 217 touchdowns for the Raiders. The quarterback retires with a record of 63 wins and 79 losses.
Praised by some, mocked by others, Carr has left no Raiders fan indifferent. With his experienced profile, it is more than likely to see a team try to bring him in.
As a reminder, the player is still under contract and has a clause allowing him to block a transfer that does not suit him.
This is one of the great soap operas of the off-season launched!
