New team and record salary for star receiver Davante Adams.
AFC West continues to attract superstars! The latest: Davante Adams, receiver for the Packers who joins the Las Vegas Raiders in a trade between the two franchises. It was the well-informed Ian Rapoport of NFL Media who revealed the information. Adams will reunite with Derek Carr, his quarterback when they both played at Fresno State University between 2012 and 2013.

Not content to join a new team, Adams especially touches the jackpot since he will be paid 141.25 million dollars over 5 years, or 28.5 million dollars per year on average. It’s simply the biggest contract for a receiver in the NFL.
Green Bay is not left out: they will recover the first and second round picks of the Raiders of the 2022 draft. That is picks 22 and 53 in total.
As a reminder, Davante Adams has already played 8 seasons in the NFL, all with the Packers. He comes out of a season with 11 touchdowns and 1,553 yards received and was named All-Pro in 2020 and 2021. Who is likely to regret having already signed his contract extension on the Green Bay side? It’s Aaron Rodgers…
