James Bradberry stays, but Darius Slay leaves. This will be the finding of the Eagles free agency at the cornerback position.
ESPN first reported Slay’s cut, before the player himself confirmed the news by bidding farewell to Philadelphia on Twitter.
“So much Philly love!! Let’s see where we go next. »
The 32-year-old arrived in the City of Brotherly Love in 2020. Prior to that, he had played for the Lions since 2013.
Last season, he started every game for the Eagles, with 55 tackles and 3 interceptions.
Like many teams that go far in the playoffs, Philadelphia is struggling to keep its free elements. If Bradberry was extended, Javon Hargrave joined the 49ers, TJ Edwards the Bears, Kyzir White the Cardinals and Marcus Epps the Raiders. Slay is added to this list of departures.
