Dalton Schultz extends three seasons with the Texans

Dalton Schultz extends 3 seasons with the Texans. CJ Stroud can smile!

You can't change a team that's working! Arrived last year with the Texans, Dalton Schultz extends for three seasons in Texas. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the franchise offered the tight end a three-year contract for $36 million, including $23.5 million guaranteed.

With this contract, Dalton Schultz enters the top 10 of the highest paid players at his position, and even climbs to 6th place by taking the guaranteed amount.

A decision that makes sense for both parties. Dalton Schultz recorded 59 receptions for 635 yards and 5 touchdowns during the 2023 regular season. Beyond the statistics, the player showed real chemistry with rookie quarterback CJ Stroud.

Houston is therefore taking advantage of the increase in payroll to keep one of its young pitcher's favorite targets.
