Cowboys – Rams (43-20): Dallas in demonstration

Dallas Cowboys (5-2) – Los Angeles Rams (3-5): 43-20

Resting last week, the Cowboys face the Rams in order to stay in contact with the Eagles in the NFC East division. Mission accomplished for the Cowboys who made their task easier in the first period. All this with a Dak Prescott – CeeDee Lamb duo of great evenings.

The Rams delivered an average performance, and conceded their 5th defeat of the season. Cornerbacks Akhiello Witherspoon and Derion Kendrick had incredible difficulty containing the Cowboys receivers.

As bad news never comes alone, Matthew Stafford (13/22, 162 yards, TD, INT) was injured at the very start of the second half. He could miss a few weeks of competition

Flood on Los Angeles

On this fall afternoon in Arlington, Dallas decides to score the Rams in the first half. On offense, with 2 touchdown passes from Dak Prescott (25/31, 304 yards, 4 TDs, INT) to tight end Jake Ferguson (4 REC, 47 yards, TD) and star receiver CeeDee Lamb (12 REC, 158 yards, 2 TDs). Then, on defense, with an interception returned for a touchdown by DaRon Bland. His 2nd of the season. Finally, on special teams, with a safety on a blocked punt.

To add momentum to Dallas’ superb first period, KaVontae Turpin returned a kickoff for 63 yards. Which resulted in CeeDee Lamb’s touchdown, mentioned above.

This is (already) becoming too easy for Dallas. CeeDee Lamb scores a touchdown again. The receiver already exceeds 100 receiving yards in the first period alone. The interception of safety Jordan Fuller and the touchdown of Royce Freeman (9 races, 44 yards, TD) did not save a catastrophic first period for the Rams.

Stafford injured

Start of the Rams’ awakening with Ben Skowronek’s touchdown. But this awakening is short-lived. This is not due to a reaction from the Dallas team. But, an injury to Matthew Stafford on the 2-point conversion. The Rams quarterback injured his wrist, and gave way to Brett Rypien (5/10, 42 yards).

The replacement quarterback is not going to work miracles, and has an average record. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott throws his 4th touchdown pass for Brandin Cooks (3 REC, 49 yards, TD). When the match was over, he left his place to Cooper Rush for the last minutes.
