Cowboys – Commanders (45-10): Dak Prescott enjoys

Dallas Cowboys (8-3) – Washington Commanders (4-8): 45-10

In a typical duel ThanksgivingTHE Cowboys of Dak Prescott (22/32, 331 yards, 4 TDs) defeats the Orders by Sam Howell (28/44, 313 yards, TD, INT). If the latter were valiant, they gave in to each acceleration of the men of Texas.

Despite a Ceedee Lamb more discreet than usual, Prescott was able to count on his other targets, notably Brandin Cooks (4 REC, 72 yards, TD). With an efficient defense, the Cowboys were only worried in the first half, before unfolding in the second half.

Washington can be satisfied with the performances of Curtis Samuel (9 REC, 100 yards) and Brian Robinson (15 carries, 53 yards), but the difference in talent between the two teams was cruelly felt.

No ignition delay for Dallas

After a first punt exchange, the Cowboys took off with a first touchdown from Rico Dowdle. Despite a field goal from Washington, it was Dallas who scored again on a deep pass from Dak Prescott to Brandin Cooks (14-3).

With their backs to the wall, the Commanders did not give up and found the resources to maintain hope with a running touchdown from Sam Howell (14-10). As always, it’s when Washington returns that Dallas kills the slightest hope. Well balanced between running and passing, the attack scores again through Tony Pollard, moving up the field in the first two minutes of the first act. (20-10)

A DaRon Bland record

If the Cowboys’ domination was not reflected on the scoreboard, it will be during the second half. While the Commanders look for other solutions in attack, the Cowboys do not need to force to widen the gap, after two losses of the ball in their own camp on 4th attempt.

Discreet until then, CeeDee Lamb (4 REC, 53 yards, TD) scores his touchdown, as does KaVontae Turpin. As if that wasn’t enough, the Cowboys defense will also have its moment of glory. Sam Howell throws an interception, and who else but DaRon Bland? The Cowboys cornerback makes NFL history by being the first player to score 5 touchdowns on interceptions as a defender.
