Commanders trade William Jackson III to Pittsburgh

While he had requested his transfer on October 13, the Commanders finally found a partner to exchange William Jackson III. NFL Media reports the cornerback arrives at the Steelers with a 2025 7th-round draft pick versus a conditional 2025 6th-round pick.

Jackson, who signed a three-year, $40.5 million deal with Washington as a free agent in 2021, hasn’t been playing at the level his contract would hope for. The Commanders even planned to cut Jackson if they couldn’t find a team to get the defensive back.
