Commanders: Dan Snyder sells the franchise to Josh Harris for 6 billion dollars

End of the Snyder era on the side of the federal capital

According to ESPN, a page is turning on the side of the Commanders.

NFL owners approved the Snyder family’s sale of the Washington franchise to Josh Harris on Thursday for $6.05 billion.

The latter already owns the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) and the New Jersey Devis (NHL). In this group led by Josh Harris, we find in particular the former basketball star, Magic Johnson.

This marks the end of long months of waiting. News of the deal broke on May 12. But since then, no more news, until this meeting between NFL owners which therefore marks the end of the Snyder era in the NFL.

The ending makes some Commanders alumni happy, like former coach Jay Gruden, saying “people are going to be happy (to see him go)” in a podcast via USA Today.

Same thing with NFL owners.

“It’s a great day and a good thing for the NFL,” Jerry Jones told NBC ahead of the owners’ meeting to finalize the sale.
